Chris Swallow Rest in Peace

As most of our followers are aware, we have been involved in Motorcycle road racing for many years. We have had some good times, and bad. Steve has built many a bike for the challenging Isle of Man TT course, and other road races from modern to classic, and as a Team Flitwick have had much success over the years. Chris Swallow joined our Team last year, riding one of our Enfield Classic 500 machines, and rode to a fine 4th in the Senior Classic TT. He joined us at Eastern Creek Australia and rode our little Enfield to five outright wins from five starts, in mostly torrential rain conditions.
This year he once again joined our Team to ride the Enfield at the Classic TT. Despite only 3.5 laps of practice in a very wet practice week, he put in the 5th fastest lap, just quietly getting on with it..
The Race day was dry, and he lined up with high hopes.
Then it all went wrong. Chris crashed at Ballaugh bridge whilst laying 4th, rapidly gaining on the third place Man, and to our sorrow lost his life.
We as a Team are completely devastated at his loss. He had quickly become part of our family, with his easy going nature, wit and charm, fitting in so well. He was an athlete, experienced and talented Road racer, thrill seeker, a much loved Father, Husband and Son, a role model to his pupils back in New Zealand, and an all round great guy. Such a talent, and in more than one discipline, he rode with a measured approach.
We will miss him so much, and extend our heartfelt sympathy and love to Jen and his Children, and Bill his Father.

RIP Chris, and see you on the other side……
